2026 Draft Financial Plan
The Village of Kaslo’s 2026 Draft Financial Plan outlines how the municipality proposes to fund services, maintain infrastructure, and invest in the community over the next five years.
The draft plan covers the 2026–2030 planning period and reflects Council priorities, service levels, and anticipated financial pressures. It is presented for public information and feedback before being finalized and adopted by Council.
What is the Financial Plan?
Under the Community Charter, municipalities in British Columbia are required to adopt a multi‑year financial plan each year. Kaslo’s Financial Plan:
- Sets out proposed operating and capital expenditures
- Identifies funding sources, including taxation, fees, and reserves
- Supports the long‑term financial sustainability of municipal services and infrastructure
- Helps Council make informed decisions that balance community needs with affordability
Public Consultation
Council welcomes public input on the 2026 Draft Financial Plan before it is adopted.
Residents and stakeholders are invited to:
- Review the draft plan
- Ask questions
- Provide written or verbal feedback
All comments received will be shared with Council as part of the budget deliberation process.
Public input may be provided by:
- Email: admin@kaslo.ca
- In writing: delivered or mailed to City Hall
- In person: at a Council meeting where the draft plan is presented
The deadline for public feedback is noon on April 27th.

Printed copies are available for review at City Hall during regular business hours.
What Happens Next?
Following public consultation:
- Council will consider feedback and may make amendments
- The Financial Plan Bylaw will be brought forward for adoption
- Once adopted, the final plan will be posted on the Village website
